Online shopping is part of the new normal, a survey finds

A report by BofA Global Research highlights emerging trends in e-commerce through fashiongrocery shop, healthcare technologyand ultra-fast trade in April 2022. It said groceries online orders will become part of the new normal even as consumers readjust their shopping behavior and shift some of their shopping offline.


41% of respondents said that while they will continue to shop online, they will do so less frequently.

As for the vibrant ultra-fast grocery delivery segment, 44% of respondents said they have tried using a 10-minute delivery service to order important items, and 23% said they will likely use one in the future. According to the survey, Myntra and PharmEasy led consumer preference in fashion and online pharmacies.

The survey had more than 1,000 participants, including half women and half men. 35% were between the ages of 18 and 29, 37% were between the ages of 30 and 44, 19% were between the ages of 45 and 60, and 9% were over 60 . In terms of income levels / sources, the sample was largely representative of middle class India.
