  • The 35-year-old now faces a stern test against World No.6 Anthony Ginting.
  • Kashyap has met against Ginting seven times in his career, losing all those encounters.
  • Should the veteran defy logic and progress further, it will only be his second quarter-final appearance of the year.

  • PV Sindhu had a fine start to her campaign at the Malaysia Masters.
  • The Indian ace defeated long-time rival He Bing Jiao in three games to progress into the round of 16.
  • Sindhu will look to bounce back from her quarter-final defeat in the Malaysian Open last week.
  • The Indian ace has had a good season, with two titles at the Syed Modi International and the Swiss Open.
