Russian Putin announces a 10% increase in pensions, minimum wage

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday ordered the government to raise old-age pensions and the minimum wage by 10%, saying not all economic problems were associated with the conflict in Ukraine.

Speaking at a televised meeting of the Russian State Council, Putin said inflation will not exceed 15% this year.
