Defense Minister Peter Dutton confirmed that a Chinese navy ship has been spotted in Australian waters.
A high-tech Chinese surveillance ship was tracked off the coast of Western Australia in what Defense Minister Peter Dutton called an “act of aggression.”
The ship was first spotted a week ago and arrived in close proximity to a secret naval communications base that supports American submarines and other allies.
“It’s unusual for the way it’s got this far south and the way it’s skirting the coast on its way to Darwin,” he told reporters in Perth on Friday.
And there’s more.
