The Pro-Choice Caucus has been sending out “messaging stuff” with new talking points for “Do’s and Don’ts” and, well, they’re damn stupid.
Here is the list:
NEW: The Pro Choice Caucus just sent House Dems messaging material about Roe’s draft.
One of the tips: don’t use “choice”. pic.twitter.com/nqVA8W1nWT

First, “safe, legal and rare” is now a “not to do”?
“Safe, legal and rare” is a bad message, it seems https://t.co/ckGcxSVmiR

Apparently so!
Notable: Part of this is what Abortion Rights Democrats have been pushing for years.
The party, for example, ditched the “safe, legal and rare” Clinton language from the Dem party platform in 2012. It has a long history >> https://t.co/TvJFz38C3O

“Safe, legal and a rite of passage” is next:
They don’t want it to be any more rare. https://t.co/UpeOcxKczd

Ka-ching!
Do people get paid to do this? https://t.co/zrss8wwx12

And the House Democrats have already adopted the transition from “choice” to “decision”, as they now sing “my body, my decision”:
I noticed that the women of the Dem Chamber chanted “my body, my decision” during the walk through the Senate, instead of the more common “my body, my choice”. Why? Talking Points! They found messaging gurus who think “choice” is a risky word. https://t.co/83rKOKQUxm

So, will the “Pro-Choice Caucus” also change its name?
Pro-Choice Caucus decides your name is bad LOL https://t.co/uo1aDFcJWs

It’s the “pro-decision” movement, right?

You know things are bad for Democrats when they are openly mocked by reporters:

It is because the ruling class of the Democratic Party is so full of useless people:
Why is the PD staff class full of such useless people? https://t.co/5t5iWq9pSB

“Good strategy”, everyone:
It’s literally called the Pro-Choice Caucus and they tell people not to use the word “choice”. Good strategy. https://t.co/YAoXNEQQ2k

And why give up on “rare”? Bill Clinton lied about it, but it was good policy:
Pro-choice caucus: saying “choice” is “harmful language”. Time to rename the caucus, it seems.
They also explicitly reject “rare” as “harmful” in describing abortion policy, discouraging any discussion of trying to reduce abortions. I’m just pro-abortion. https://t.co/Qiqjbb9Eqy

Dems, enjoy the losses to come. He inflicted himself:
The language on the left will be much more accessible to the average voter and phrases like “safe, legal and rare” were chosen for a reason. https://t.co/smJjEMCaXZ

Even supporters hate the transition from “choice” to “decision”!
a lot of this makes sense, and I’m as tired as anyone else of seeing Democrats euphemistically refer to “choice”, but I don’t see how “decision” is actually an improvement. https://t.co/n8aozMJJVe

And they wonder why they keep losing.
