Previously, we told you about the The new Washington Free Beacon report on the Biden administration by including free crack pipes in their safe smoking kits for addicts. Patrick Hauf, who originally unveiled the story, actually looked for additional hard evidence to support his claims in his February article and found it. A lot.
The White House said the safe smoking kits do not contain crack pipes.
Like this @FreeBeacon we went to see for ourselves.

In February, Washington Post fact checker Glenn Kessler dismissed the Free Beacon story, claiming it “was based on guesswork.”
You will issue a fix, @GlennKesslerWP?

apologies Connecting to his original story with a big, flashy fix?
No sorry. The best Glenn can handle is tweeting the new Washington Free Beacon article:
Yes, safe smoking kits include free crack pipes. We know this because we have them. https://t.co/8bHrAOpo1Q
– Glenn Kessler (@GlennKesslerWP) May 12, 2022
Eh, thanks? Suppose? It seems a bit lacking, considering how Kessler used his sizable “fact check” platform to challenge Hauf and Free Beacon’s reporting and integrity.

Don’t count on it. We checked his feed and at least since we published this post, there is nothing like an apology or mea culpa in that.

We are quite familiar with the Washington Post Fact Checker’s fact-checking process – it sucks.
