Crime in New York: woman raped in the elevator of an apartment building in the Bronx

BRONX, New York (WABC) – Police are looking for a man who raped a woman by pointing her with a knife in an elevator in the Bronx.

It happened around 10pm on Monday.

Authorities say the suspect followed the 40-year-old victim into the elevator of an apartment building near Bolton Street and Lydig Avenue.

Investigators say the man seen in the surveillance video pulled out a knife, raped her, and stole more than $ 100 from her.

The victim was taken to the hospital.
