With the cost of living rising, more and more people are thinking about how to reduce their expenses.
Getting sucked into a long phone contract could come with a pretty steep price tag, so it might be worth looking for a better deal or ditching the contract for a SIM-only deal.
According to a study by mobile operator iD mobile, it is said that one third of consumers could save an average of £ 156 per year by switching providers.
Most cell phone providers on the market offer unlimited calling and texting on sim only with a few deals even starting at as little as £ 5 per month – yes, you heard that right.
With so many deals and suppliers available, we’ve made your search easy by selecting the best deals from EE, O2, Sky and more to help you save those extra pennies.
Best SIM only offers:
iD Mobile is one of the best options when it comes to SIM-only affordable offers. The phone provider promises new customers a number of benefits such as data transfer, roaming in 50 destinations and the UK’s fastest 5G powered by Three.
You can grab a one-month or 12-month SIM contract with iD Mobile for just £ 6 and it comes with 4GB of data along with unlimited calling and texting. If you’re looking for a slightly higher data deductible, opt for the 5GB 24-month plan, again with unlimited texting and calling for even £ 6.

Just like other providers, the twelve-month and one-month deals aren’t good value for money, with the cheapest monthly offer being £ 20 for 1GB and the cheapest yearly offering being £ 12 for 1GB.

What is a SIM only deal?
A SIM-only offer offers a package of minutes, SMS and mobile data for a monthly cost, much like a traditional mobile phone contract. The difference, however, is that you don’t get a new phone included in the contract – you get the SIM and just the SIM.
