Press gallery slammed for being in a “bubble of their own”

Former Labor Senator Stephen Conroy says the media are conducting their own “private” election campaign “on the side”.

He said he thinks opposition leader Anthony Albanese is showing some degree of “frustration”.

“Most Australians want to know the impact of rising interest rates and rising gasoline prices in a few months,” Conroy said.

«What the gallery seems to be involved in is a juvenile quiz game, to see if Albo is able to recite every single point of politics with a photographic memory.

“The press box is actually in a bubble by itself, on a bus, not busy with the issues that the Australian public is.”
